How to Enter

Email your Zone Representative with a photo of your grading card showing your Horse Trials grading, rally attendance (at least two in the last 12 months), and qualifier results — either signed by the club DC, or screenshots from Event Secretary / Nominate showing all penalties including cross country.

Your Zone Representative will verify your qualification and provide an entry link via Event Secretary. The event will not be publicly visible once entries open.

Enter via Event Secretary. Options to book yards, camping, and the Saturday night meal are included at entry.
Each horse and rider combination may enter and compete at one grade only. Riders may qualify more than one horse in any grade; however each combination may only enter once at the event.
Yards & Camping
$30 yard fee covers the full weekend. Free camping with yard booking, or $10/night without. Unpowered camping with hot showers & toilets on site.
Refund Policy
No refunds after closing date except with vet/medical certificate. $20 admin fee deducted. Medical levy non-refundable.
How to Qualify
Qualifications must be gained in the twelve months preceding the championships (Rule D.6, pg 38). “C” Certificate required for riders in Pony Club 2+ years aged 14 or over.
Awards
Individual Championship
All grades (1–5). Trophy rug and rosette for each grade winner. Prizes for 2nd–4th places. Rosettes to 6th. Best OTT in each grade receives an embroidered rug.
John Barlee Perpetual Shield
Club teams, Grades 1, 2 & 3. Teams of 3–4 combinations from at least two different grades. Club teams only — no composite teams. Best 3 scores count.
Interzone Teams Challenge
Zone teams, Grades 4 & 5. Up to 2 teams per grade per zone. Best 3 scores count. Top G4 + G5 scores combined per zone determines the winning zone.
Off The Track Award
Best performed OTT horse in each grade — embroidered rug. Claim your thoroughbred at ottcommunity.com.au and provide race name & microchip number at entry.
Riding for Abbie — Resilience Award
This special award recognises the rider who best demonstrates courage, composure under pressure, sportsmanship, determination after a setback, and horsemanship that puts the horse first. It honours Abbie, a young rider who became a quadriplegic at only 10 years old following a fall at a gymkhana. Her courage continues to inspire our community.

Saturday Night Dinner
Traditional roast dinner. Adults $33 · Under 12s $25. Pre-book via Event Secretary. Vegetarian option available.
Merchandise
Order by 3 April 2026 for delivery to the event. Later orders incur a delivery fee.
Conditions of Attendance
- Conducted under PCV Horse Trials Rules effective 1 January 2025
- Gear check required before each phase — incorrect gear may result in elimination
- Whips: max 1200mm incl. lash (Grades 1–3); max 750mm incl. flap (Grades 4–5)
- Competitor numbers must be worn and displayed on both sides of the horse
- Body numbers required for cross country — supplied by the competitor
- Lungeing in the designated arena only · Generators 7:00am–10:00pm only
- Dogs prohibited without exception · Riders risk elimination if this rule is not adhered to
- No stallions, colts or rigs · Horses must be at least 4 years old on the day
- PCV no-smoking and alcohol policies apply at all times including Saturday evening
