TeamVic

The represententative program for Pony Club Victoria (PCV) is simply, but affectionately know as TeamVIC.
TeamVIC provides the developmental platform for our members wishing to challenge themselves further, by competing at the national level, and beyond.
PCV manages the selction process for TeamVIC, and the appointment of team officials. Depending on the event, the selection process may involve:
- Expressions of interest from members,
- Development or talent ID programs,
- Past perfermances at events, and/or
- Selection camps/clinics.
To be eligible for selection, riders must:
- Be a current financial member of Pony Club Victoria,
- Ages taken from 1st January 2023:
- Sub-Junior – 10 years to 12 years,
- Junior – 13 years to 16 years,
- Senior – 17 years to 25 years,
- Masters – 26 years plus,
- Have their C Certificate, if over 14yo,
- Demonstrate an acceptable level of behaviour, citizenship and horsemastership to be verified by club/zone references,
- Horses sound and fit to compete,
- Horse and Rider combinations qualified in accordance to PCV Bylaws Rule 18.8.b. ie have attended two mounted rallies within the preceding 12 months,
- Submit a performance diary,
- Attend all selection and prepatory events,
- Meet the cost of participation, and
- Meet the criteria set out by the event.
By submitting an expression of interest, riders are indicating that they are prepared to meet the above.
Conduct:
The National Intergrity Framework, including its Member Protection Policy, and Code of Conduct, along with PCV’s Child Safety Policy applies to TeamVIC, to ensure a positive, enjoyable and safe environment for all. Any breach of these policies will not be tolerated, and dealt with swiftly.
Participation Costs:
Participation in TeamVIC is fully self-funded, so riders will be required to meet the costs of being a member of a team. Such costs include host state and administration levies, uniform, transport, accommodation, and meals.
To assist with planning, PCV can provide some indicative costs to assist you in budgetting for participation should you be selected. The cost for entering a national level event can be approximately $600. The total cost of participation can vary greatly, depending upon the location, travel options, uniforms, timing of the event and when travel and accommodation bookings are made.

WE UNDERSTAND THE DIFFICULTY ASSOCIATED WITH TRAVELLING AND COMPLETING IN PERTH, ESPECIALLY WITH SUCH A FULL CALENDAR OF EVENTS HERE IN VICTORIA.
EACH STATE HAS THE OPTION OF HOSTING A HUB FOR THE NATIONALS TO ADDRESS THESE ISSUES.
WE ARE ACTIVELY WORKING TO LOCK IN THE VENUE AND THE COST OF THE VICTORIA HUB.
