Club Offerings

Warragul Pony Club is a family-focused club in the West Gippsland Zone of Pony Club Victoria, based at 119 Burnt Store Road in Lardner, on the outskirts of Warragul. Set in the picturesque dairy country of Baw Baw Shire, the club is known for its warm, supportive approach to riding — a dedicated group of families who genuinely enjoy spending time with horses together.

Warragul’s genuine strengths lie in its inclusiveness and its connection to the broader local equestrian community. The club offers a “Riders Without Horses” membership option — making Pony Club accessible for children who love horses but don’t yet have their own — and regularly partners with neighbouring clubs and Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA) for joint activity days, bringing the wider West Gippsland riding community together on the one ground. That culture of openness also extends to rally days themselves, with a rotating variety of qualified instructors each month ensuring riders of all levels get fresh perspectives and well-matched coaching.

The club also has a track record of producing riders who progress well beyond club level. Warragul alumni have represented the West Gippsland Zone as Dressage Young Ambassadors and gone on to competitive careers in dressage — evidence that the family culture at Warragul doesn’t come at the expense of competitive development. Warragul is a great fit for families in Warragul, Drouin, Lardner, Neerim South, Longwarry, Buln Buln, Ellinbank, Yarragon, Darnum, Trafalgar, and the wider West Gippsland area.
