Club Offerings
Upper Beaconsfield Pony Club is a close-knit, welcoming club in the West Gippsland Zone of Pony Club Victoria, based at the Upper Beaconsfield Recreation Reserve on Burton Road. Set in the leafy hills between Cardinia Shire and the outer south-east, the club has around 30 to 40 riding members who meet once a month to develop their skills, compete, and take part in a genuinely varied calendar of club activities.
Upper Beaconsfield’s genuine strengths are its shared-grounds relationship with Upper Beaconsfield Riding Club (HRCAV) and the breadth of its activity program beyond the usual monthly rally. Sharing the reserve with UBRC — which rallies on the first Sunday of each month — means the ground is well-used, well-maintained, and gives pony club members a natural pathway to continue riding into adulthood at the same venue. Alongside regular instruction, members get to enjoy camps, beach rides, cross country clinics, and inter-club competition across dressage, show jumping, eventing, and mounted games — a much broader mix than many clubs offer.
A highlight of the calendar is the Upper Beaconsfield Cup Day Showjumping, a long-running inter-club event that draws riders from across the zone and beyond each November. Monthly rallies are also rounded out with a shared lunch, giving the club a genuinely social feel alongside the riding. Upper Beaconsfield is a great fit for families in Upper Beaconsfield, Beaconsfield, Berwick, Officer, Emerald, Guys Hill, Dewhurst, Harkaway, and the wider hills and south-east growth corridor.
