Rosedale Pony Club Shines at 2025 State and Interzone Horse Trials

Rosedale, VIC – The Rosedale Pony Club hosted the exhilarating PCV State and Interzone Horse Trials on May 16-17, 2025, at their grounds on Evergreen Rd & Rosedale Stradbroke Rd. This two-day equestrian showcase, supported by Off The Track, brought together riders from across Victoria to compete in dressage, show jumping, and cross country, highlighting the skill and bond between horse and rider.

The event, a cornerstone of the Pony Club Victoria calendar, was a resounding success, thanks to the East Gippsland Zone of Pony Clubs and the tireless efforts of the organizing committee. Competitors of all ages navigated challenging courses against the scenic Rosedale backdrop, with classes ranging from junior to senior divisions. Spectators enjoyed a vibrant atmosphere, fueled by local vendors and the club’s dedicated volunteers.

The backbone of the event was Rosedale’s volunteer crew, whose months of preparation ensured a seamless experience. The Cross Country Crew—including Tim, Sarah, Peter, Sonya, and Grace Perkins (Rosedale PC), Tracey (Briag PC/EGZ committee), Clint, Pip, and members of the Rosedale & District Adult Horse Riding Club (Danni, Jason, Kate, Deb, and Dane)—worked tirelessly, mowing grass, building jumps, and painting in the weeks leading up to the event, even meeting in the dark for jump deliveries. The Canteen Crew—Anthony, Ellane, Ollie, Jodie, Bec, Kelly, Channi, Colleen, and riding member Mia (the “queen of gravy making”)—kept everyone fed, selling over 45kg of hot chips on Saturday alone. On Sunday, XC Jump Judges Lauren, Alana, and Grace braved long hours, while Amba, Kelly, Jess, and Pip handled Gate Marshalling and Gear Checks. Special thanks went to Tim and Clint for tackling last-minute plumbing, electrical work, and coordinating medical incidents.

Results, shared via Event Secretary, celebrated standout performances and sportsmanship. The Rosedale Pony Club extended heartfelt gratitude to all involved, marking another triumphant championship that showcased equestrian excellence and community spirit.
