PCA NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS

TETRATHLON TEAM REPORT

Twenty TeamVic Tetrathlon competitors and their parents travelled to Perth for the non-riding phase of the Tetrathlon discipline. The Discovery Park Swan Valley caravan park (+ cabins) accommodation was well located and suited everybody’s needs with the majority of the team meeting for lunch on the Sunday.  The park was well located, 20 minutes to the Equestrian Centre, 10 minutes to the swimming pool and 10 minutes to the Adventure centre. (10 minutes to the French café, Chocolateries and Winery for parents!) It was a relief to see everyone as many of the group had had to navigate the dramas of cancelled and or delayed flights and very late arrivals. We even managed to bring all the Laser devices without issues.

Program for the competitors included a number of extra activities which ensured there were opportunities for competitors to meet and make friends with competitors from other states.

Program for the week:

Monday:

  • Morning – Swim at Guilford Grammar School.
  • Afternoon – Adventure Activities 1.(Canoe, High Ropes, Rock Climbing)
  • Later – Quiz written paper – 8 of the Tet. Competitors participated.
  • Evening – Welcome dinner.

Tuesday:

  • Morning – Shoot – W.A. State Equestrian Centre.
  • Evening – Dinner.

Wednesday:

  • Morning – Run – W.A. State Equestrian Centre.
  • Afternoon – Activities 2.,3 (Rotation of Monday’s program.

  • Evening – Roast dinner and games.

Thursday:

  • Morning – Novelty Laser Run mixed Team event – all competitors invited regardless of discipline.
  • Afternoon – TeamVic – beach activities.
