The Mounted Games Skills Clinic is for all riders wanting to improve their games skills in both Prince Philip and State Games. Selections for the Victorian Squads happen on this weekend too!
Event Start Times
Riders will need to be saddled and ready for gear check at 8.30 am.
We will have a quick briefing and plan to start at 9 am.
We anticipate being finished by approx 4 pm

What is the Mounted Games Skills Clinic?
Mounted Game Skills Clinic is for everyone! If you would like to improve your games skills don't miss this fantastic clinic. The clinic runs on Saturday and if you wish to tryout for the Victorian Mounted Games Squads you can do this on Sunday. You don't need to be able to vault to be a part of this clinic, you will not be made to vault either! All type of games and skills are covered at this skills clinic and you will be coached by experienced games coaches. It is a great learning experience for any level of rider so ... grab your friends and come along!

Who can attend the Mounted Games Skills Clinic?
Any current PCV member aged 7+yrs can attend the Mounted Games Skills Clinic; all levels of experience and experience are welcome.
Any rider wanting to try out for the Victorian Mounted Games Squads must attend the Mounted Games Skills Clinic.
What are Victorian Squad Selections all about?
Selection trials for the Victorian Mounted Games Squads are held at this event each year. The Victorian Mounted Games Squads are groups of riders who train during the year to further develop their Mounted Games skills.
The Victorian Team to compete at the National Championships to be held in 2019 will be selected from these squads. Senior, Junior & Development Squads are available for Pony Club riders to trial for.
Who can try out for Victorian Squad Selection?
Any current Pony Club rider can! (See below for age groups)
Current PCV members who have turned 16 by 1 JAN 2019 and will be 25 years or under at the end of the 2018/2019 Pony Club year (30 JUN 2019)
Current PCV member who have turned 13yrs and will be less than 16 years on 1 JAN 2019.
Current PCV members who have turned 10yrs and will be less than 16 years on 1 JAN 2019. Must be able to ride independently.
C Certificate for Squad
Riders who have been in pony club for more than two years and are aged 14 years and over must have attained their C Certificate if trying out for squad.
The organising committee may at its absolute discretion determine the suitability of a mount to participate in the Mounted Games Skills Clinic and Victorian Squad Selections.
Victorian Mounted Games Squad Selection process
According to the selector’s scores, the first 12 highest scored riders will be eligible for the Junior Squad and the next highest scored 12 riders will be eligible for the Development Squad.

All gear must adhere to the PCV Gear Rules.
What do I wear?
Wear what is comfortable and safe. Pony Club uniform is not compulsory.
How do I enter?
Enter via MyPonyClub. Nominations for Vic Squad Selection can be indicated on entry.
